This section explains how to register network devices.
The devices that need to be registered as network devices must meet the following conditions:
Network devices to be automatically configured using the "auto-configuration for network device" function
Network devices to be monitored using the "Network monitoring" function
Resource Orchestrator supports registration of the following types of network devices.
Firewall
Server Load Balancer
L2 Switches
Ethernet Fabric
The following network devices are the targets:
Fujitsu Converged Fabric switches
Fujitsu PRIMERGY Converged Fabric switch blades (10Gbps 18/8+2)
Brocade VDX 6710 series
Brocade VDX 6720 series
Brocade VDX 6730 series
Brocade VDX 6740/6740T
Brocade VDX 6940 series
Management hosts
The following devices are the targets.
Fujitsu IPCOM VX series
When identifying this device, it is indicated as "Management host (IPCOM VX)".
Use the following procedure to register a network device:
Create network configuration information for the network device to register.
Register the network device using the network configuration information created in step 1.
