This section explains how to modify a role.
Use the following procedure to modify a role.
In the ROR console, select [Settings]-[Role Management].
The [Role Management] dialog is displayed.
Select the role to modify.
Click [Modify].
The [Modify Role] dialog is displayed.
Change the items you want to modify.
Enter a name for the role.
Enter a character string beginning with an alphanumeric character and containing up to 32 alphanumeric characters, underscores ("_"), and hyphens ("-")
The name of a basic role cannot be changed.
Enter a label for the role.
Enter a maximum of 32 characters.
Enter any comments for the role.
Enter a maximum of 256 characters.
This item cannot be changed.
To add the authority, select the checkbox. To delete the authority, clear the checkbox.
To return it to the original state (state when the [Modify Role] dialog is displayed), click [Reset].
Click the [OK] button.
The role is modified.
Point
For details on the default value of operation authority, refer to "Table-Operation Group and Operation Name" in "15.9 Roles" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE".
Changing the operation authority of each role to the default value based on the table above will initialize the value.
