1.3 System Requirements for GLS

In order to use GLS functions, your system must satisfy the requirements and conform to the restrictions listed below.

Switch with MAC address learning function

For communication by VLAN tagging, must support IEEE802.1Q.

Switch or network device for which an IP address can be set and that responds to pinging.

Required for ping monitoring.

Shared physical adapter between virtual adapters

Use the same adapter.

With Windows TCP/IP, because it is possible to set multiple IP addresses for a single adapter, there is no need to create multiple virtual adapters on the VLAN.

Note

When using Network Load Balancing (NLB), select Multicast with the Network Load Balancing Manager. In addition, restart the system before the operation after setting Network Load Balancing.
