7.2.12 Adding and Deleting NICs for Servers After Deployment (OVM for SPARC)

To add a NIC to or delete a NIC from a deployed server, perform the following procedure:

1. Add or delete the management information of the NIC with the following commands.

   • CreateNic

   • DestroyNic

   Refer to "14.3.6 CreateNic (Add NIC to Server)" and "14.3.9 DestroyNic (Delete Specified NIC from Server)" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE" for information on commands.

2. On the server virtualization software, add the NIC to or delete the NIC from the guest domain.
   For details about adding a NIC to or deleting a NIC from a guest domain, refer to the manual of the server virtualization software.
