3.2.7 Perform Operation Management of PC

Perform the following operations from remote for the PC to perform operation management.

In addition, when the PC to perform operation management is not registered, it will not be displayed in the PC Operation Management window.

For information on how to register the PC to perform operation management, refer to "3.1.4 Perform Settings of PC Operation Management".


3.2.7.1 Collect Inventory Information (Hardware Information) Immediately

The procedure of immediately collecting and viewing inventory information (hardware information) of PC to perform operation management is as follows.

  1. Log in to the main menu, and click PC Information.

    The PC Information window will be displayed.

  2. Click PC Operation Management.

    The following window will be displayed.

  3. Click the IP Address (AMT) of the PC whose inventory information is expected to be viewed.

    The inventory information of the selected PC will be collected immediately and displayed in the PC Information column.

  4. View the collected inventory information.

    The collected inventory information is as follows.

    The following causes should be considered when failed in processing (when error message is displayed). Confirm.

    • The IP address (AMT) is incorrect.

    • User ID (AMT) or password (AMT) is incorrect.

    • The electric socket of the PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The LAN cable used by AMT of PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The PC to perform operation management is connecting to wireless LAN and the PC is not connected to power.


3.2.7.2 Operate Power

The procedure to operate the power of PC to perform operation management is shown as follows.

  1. Log in to the main menu, and click PC Information.

    The PC Information window will be displayed.

  2. Click PC Operation Management.

    The following window will be displayed.

  3. Click the IP Address (AMT) of the PC that requires power operation.

    View Power State in Inventory Information and confirm the status of power of PC.

    The following causes should be considered when failed in processing (when error message is displayed). Confirm.

    • The IP address (AMT) is incorrect.

    • User ID (AMT) or password (AMT) is incorrect.

    • The electric socket of the PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The LAN cable used by AMT of PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The PC to perform operation management is connecting to wireless LAN and the PC is not connected to power.

  4. After confirming the power status, click the Back button.

    Go back to the PC Operation Management window.

  5. Select the radio button of the PC to perform power operation and click the following button.

    • Power ON button: Turn on the power of the selected PC.

    • Power OFF by Force button: Turn off the power of selected PC by force. The shutdown processing of OS will not be performed.

      When the Power OFF by Force button is clicked, the following message will be output in the dialog.

      Power will be OFF by force. Do you want to continue? (The shutdown processing of OS will not be performed.)

    Note

    • When performing power OFF by force, if the OS is running, since the data that is being operated cannot be saved, pay attention to the operation.

    • When performing power ON by force, if BIOS password has been set in the PC to perform operation management, it will be unable to enter the password from Web browser. It is required to enter in the PC to perform operation management.

    The following causes should be considered when failed in processing (when error message is displayed). Confirm.

    • The IP address (AMT) is incorrect.

    • User ID (AMT) or password (AMT) is incorrect.

    • The electric socket of the PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The LAN cable used by AMT of PC to perform operation management has dropped.

    • The PC to perform operation management is connecting to wireless LAN.

  6. After confirming the power operation has been done successfully, repeat "Step 4." And confirm the power status of PC.
