3.1 Definition of Patch Information

Use the Patch Information Management Command (swcfmg_patch_def) to define patch information.

The functions of the Patch Information Management Command are described below. Refer to "5.4.1 swcfmg_patch_def (Patch Information Management Command)" for information on the command.

Registration of patch information

Define the patch information. When the information collection source is a patch which was not manually registered, the patch information collected during the discovery of software patch information is automatically registered. In such cases, it is not necessary to register the patch information using the Patch Information Management Command (swcfmg_patch_def). When the information collection source is a patch for UpdateAdvisor, it is necessary to register a patch in this product using the Fujitsu Middleware Released Patch Registration Command (swcfmg_fjmwpatch_update) to register the patch information. For details, refer to "swcfmg_fjmwpatch_update (Fujitsu Middleware Released Patch Registration Command)" in the Reference Guide.

To register patch information, it is necessary to define the information of the software to be patched in advance. For details on how to define software information, refer to "Chapter 2 Definition of Software Information".

To register patch information, specify the CSV file using the Patch Information Management Command. For details on the file format, refer to "6.4.1 Patch Information File".

Update of patch information

Update the registered patch information.

To update the patch information, specify the CSV file using the Patch Information Management Command. For details on the file format, refer to "6.4.1 Patch Information File".

Deletion of patch information

Delete the registered patch information.

Specify the patch ID of the patch information to delete. Confirm the patch ID using the patch information output function.

Note that patch information cannot be deleted when applied patch information is registered for the patch information. When deleting unnecessary patch information, delete applied patch information in advance.

Output of patch information

Output the registered patch information as a patch information CSV file.

The output destination is the standard output of the command or the specified file.
