5.4 Actions for Failed Requests

This section explains the causes for a request status to change to failed, and the corrective actions to take. If the status of a request has changed to failed, refer to the causes and corrective actions listed in the following table:

The platform has already been deleted.

Deletion

Services exists under the platform.

Delete any existing services, and submit the request again.

A service is currently being added under the platform.

After the addition of the service completes, delete any existing services, and submit the request again.

Add the platform again, and submit the request again.

The service ID has a duplicate in the system.

Specify a service ID which does not already exist in the system, and submit the request again.

The service operation could not be accepted.

A communication error may have occurred between the management server and the coordination adapter. The cause of the error is sent by email to the email address specified during setup. For details on corrective actions, contact the operators.

Specify a user ID which does not already exist in the system, and submit the request again.

The user operation failed on the directory service.

  • Connection to the directory service may have failed. Contact the operators.

  • An entry with the same user ID may already exist on the directory service. Specify a different user ID, and submit the request again. If the status of the request changes to failure even after submission made using a different user ID, contact the operators.

Modification

The selected organization has been deleted.

Select an existing organization, and submit the request again.

The user role has been modified.

Specify the correct role, and submit the request again.

The user operation failed on the directory service.

Connection to the directory service may have failed. Contact the operators.

Deletion

The user is a platform manager.

Reassign the role of platform manager to another user, or, submit the request again after deleting the platform.

The user is a project manager.

Reassign the role of project manager to another user, or, submit the request again after deleting the project.

Project

Addition

The project ID has a duplicate in the system.

Specify a project ID which does not already exist in the system, and submit the request again.

The selected supervisor has been deleted.

Select an existing supervisor, and submit the request again.

The selected accounting code has been deleted.

Select an existing accounting code, and submit the request again.

Modification

The selected supervisor has been deleted.

Select an existing supervisor, and submit the request again.

The project has been deleted.

Select an existing accounting code, and submit the request again.

Deletion

Delete any existing platforms, and submit the request again.
