2.6 Combining ETERNUS SF Agent and ETERNUS SF Manager

The following product level combinations are possible when using different levels of ETERNUS SF Agent and ETERNUS SF Manager.

Note

• There is a difference in functionality between some product version levels. Installation of the ETERNUS SF Manager and ETERNUS SF Agent of the same version level is recommended.

• The following restrictions apply to combinations of ETERNUS SF Manager and ETERNUS SF Agent products at different version levels:

  • If the ETERNUS SF Manager is a newer level than the ETERNUS SF Agent

    Connection possible (but functions supported by levels later than that of the Managed Server cannot be used)

  • If the ETERNUS SF Agent is Version 16 or later and a newer level than the ETERNUS SF Manager

    Connection possible (but functions supported by levels later than that of the Management Server cannot be used)

  • If the ETERNUS SF Agent is Version 15 or earlier and a newer level than the ETERNUS SF Manager

    Connection not possible
