1.2 Determining Installation Programs

The table below shows the relationships between products to be used and programs to be installed.
Refer to this chart to determine which programs need to be installed.

Using the Backup Wizard for Exchange Server or the Backup Wizard for SQL Server. (3) Using the Restore Wizard for Exchange Server or the Restore Wizard for SQL Server. (3) Using the Scheduler. (*3) When using Automatic Failover of Storage Cluster, installation to the server that operates the Storage Cluster Controller is required.
AdvancedCopy Manager (for Agent-based operation)	ETERNUS SF Manager	If not installed, installation is required. If installed, register the license. Refer to "Chapter 12 Adding and Changing Products in Use" for details.
AdvancedCopy Manager (for Agent-based operation)	AdvancedCopy Manager's agent	Installation is required. To be installed on servers that has backup or replication resources.
AdvancedCopy Manager (for Agent-less operation)	ETERNUS SF Manager or AdvancedCopy Manager Copy Control Module	Installation of one of the programs listed on the left is required. For use of only the AdvancedCopy Manager Copy Control Module (hereafter abbreviated as "AdvancedCopy Manager CCM") functions provided by this product, install the AdvancedCopy Manager CCM. In all other cases, install the ETERNUS SF Manager (*2). However, if the ETERNUS SF Manager has been installed, register the license. Refer to "Chapter 12 Adding and Changing Products in Use" for details.

*1: Express cannot run on Solaris environment. Install it in Windows or Linux environment.

*2: The AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is included in the ETERNUS SF Manager, but can also be installed as a standalone program.

*3: It is the same when the Managed Server is also operated as Management Server.

Note

When you install the Storage Cruiser's manager and the AdvancedCopy Manager's manager on different Management Servers, note the following:
- Management Server where the Storage Cruiser's manager installed:
  - Register only the Storage Cruiser license.
  - The AdvancedCopy Manager's agent cannot be installed on the Management Server.
  - ETERNUS SF Manager is the integrated product structure that enables daemons/services for the AdvancedCopy Manager's manager to run.
  - Check the SNMP Trap Setting checkbox when registering an ETERNUS Disk storage system if necessary.
  - For registering servers, register as Managed Servers where the Storage Cruiser's agent is used.
- Management Servers where the AdvancedCopy Manager's manager installed:
  - Register only the AdvancedCopy Manager license.
  - Do not check the SNMP Trap Setting checkbox when registering an ETERNUS Disk storage system.
  - For registering server, register as Managed Servers where AdvancedCopy Manager's agent is used.
When you install the AdvancedCopy Manager CCM, Storage Cruiser's agent, and AdvancedCopy Manager's agent, note the following:

Information

The following is a description of the use of software together with antivirus software:

There is no restriction on putting the following software under monitoring of antivirus software:
- Installation program
- Files under required disks for operation and required disks for installation used for installation program.
However, depending on the type of antivirus software, the installation program behaviors may be affected or access to the files under required disks for operation and required disks for installation used for installation program may be restricted. In that case, put those files out of monitoring according to the instructions of the antivirus software. For details of required disks for operation and required disks for installation used for installation program, refer to "Chapter 2 Operating Environment".
When installing AdvancedCopy Manager to perform backup and replication operations, to secure the consistency of resources to be backed up and replicated, antivirus software must be prevented from accessing the resources. For details, refer to "Running Software" in "Notes on Backup and Replication Operation" in the ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide.
