4.6 Additional Recovery Operation after Failback

This section explains additional recovery on the switchover source site after a failback operation.

For the additional recovery function, refer to "2.4 Limitation of Switchover Scope and Additional Recovery".

Before performing additional recovery, confirm that the following conditions are satisfied.

The procedure for additional recovery operation is as follows:

  1. Perform additional recovery using a batch command.

    Example

    • For Tenant Restoration (tenant1)

      [Windows Manager]

      >Installation_folder\SVROR\Manager\bin\rcxrecovery -salvage -tenant tenant1 <RETURN>

      [Linux Manager]

      # /opt/FJSVrcvmr/bin/rcxrecovery -salvage -tenant tenant1 <RETURN>

    • For Restoration of Tenants (tenant2, tenant3) and Global Resources not Being Used

      [Windows Manager]

      >Installation_folder\SVROR\Manager\bin\rcxrecovery -salvage -tenant tenant2,tenant3 -global <RETURN>

      [Linux Manager]

      # /opt/FJSVrcvmr/bin/rcxrecovery -salvage -tenant tenant2,tenant3 -global <RETURN>

      For details on the rcxrecovery command for batch execution, refer to "B.2 rcxrecovery".

  2. The processing status of the command for additional recovery is displayed in the same way as for a batch command. For details, refer to "4.2.12 Switchover Using the Batch Command [Switchover Destination Site]".


When Failback Was Performed Using the Blade Chassis Degradation Configuration

During failback, network resources are recovered on the switchover destination site according to the settings of network resources on the switchover source site.

After failback, configure the following setting as necessary.
