Decide the directory service to use with the ServerView Operations Manager function. The directory services which can be used in Resource Orchestrator use the ServerView Operations Manager settings.
OpenDS provided with ServerView Operations Manager
OpenDJ is provided as the directory service with ServerView Operations Manager V6.1 and later.
In the following explanation, take "OpenDS" as meaning "OpenDJ".
Active Directory
When already using Active Directory for user management of another system, it can be used instead of the OpenDS provided with ServerView Operations Manager.
Note
After deployment of Resource Orchestrator, only the password of the directory server's administrator can be changed.
