Why is the specification of the record length required?

Can I keep error messages or information messages of bsort command in a file?
You can output messages to the arbitrary file. In bsort command, use -G option to specify the message file. Use -l option to select contents of the messages to be output. You can also specify altogether by using the environment variable "BSORT_MSGFILE" and "BSORT_MSGLEVEL".
Can bsort command work in the processing definition file created in the PowerBSORT GUI?
You can specify the processing definition file in the -P option at bsort command. You can run bsort command in the processing condition specified in the PowerBSORT GUI by just specifying the file names. If you will save the processing condition in a file, we recommend you to use an argument file (-a option) that can specify all options of PowerBSORT.
