This specifies the suppression option.
When the values of the specified key fields are equal, 1 record is left and others are deleted. Then the records to be deleted are irregular. The suppression option is effective in the Sort option (-s) and Merge option (-m). The suppression option has an exclusive relationship with the record summation option (-g). When specified at the same time as the first-in first-out (FIFO) option (-f, or environment variable BSORT_FIFO), the specification of the first-in first-out (FIFO) option is disregarded.
