Use the following environment variables to set up the collection of trace log information.
MEFTLOGROOT
Specify the full path for the root folder of the trace log. The default at installation is "C:\MEFTLOGROOT".
MEFTLOGNUMP
Specify the largest number of trace log entries, 0-1024, that can be included in one day. When the maximum number is exceeded, the oldest output date Folder is deleted. When a maximum of 0 is entered, the trace log is not output. If a number outside the range is entered, a maximum of 32 is assigned.
MEFTLOGSIZEP
Specify the maximum size of the log that can be output in one job unit (an output date folder unit), 1 - 8192 MB. If a number outside the range is entered, a maximum of 8192 is assigned. If the log exceeds the maximum, subsequent trace logs are not output.
Note
You must have enough disk space available to accommodate the trace log. This can be calculated by multiplying the value of MEFTLOGNUMP (maximum trace log entries) by the value of MEFTLOGSIZEP(maximum log size output in one job unit).
The output file to use in a print preview or enlarged / reduction print is output. When using print preview or enlarged / reduced for multiple page files, specify the size according to the value in MEFTLOGSIZEP. A size of 2,048MB is recommended.
Outputting the trace log can affect print quality. Check the print quality with trace log enabled versus disabled.
