In order to proceed with this exercise, you must install the 32bit ODBC driver for Microsoft Access in the Windows system.
Open [ODBC Data Sources (32-bit)] from Control Panel to confirm that there is proper ODBC support installed on your system.
In Windows 8.1, you can open from [Control Panel] > [System and Security] > [Administrative Tools].
Note
In Windows 7 (64-bit), ODBC Data Sources (32-bit) cannot be started from the Control panel. Run "%windir%\SysWOW64\odbcad32" from the command prompt.
If the driver is not installed in your Windows system, download and install Microsoft Access Database Engine from the Microsoft Download Center.
You will also require a sample Access database called "Test.mdb". This file can be found in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Fujitsu NetCOBOL for Windows\Samples\PowerCOBOL\DBAccess
Once you have verified installation of ODBC, Microsoft Access, the associated drivers, and the test database, you are ready to move on with the exercise.
