A.5.12 Cautions when Obtaining the Own File Name within the Script File [UNIX version]

If the "Copy the script specified when registering jobs before execution" box is checked on Backward compatibility sheet of Define Operating Information window, the Job Execution Control copies the script file to the spool, rename the copied file to "job number" and starts this file by specifying its full path name. Therefore, the full path name having the "job number" in the file name is set as shell variable $0 in the script file.

If you have obtained the own file name as shell variable $0 in the script file, cares must be taken.

However, if the "Copy the script specified when registering jobs before execution" box is unchecked on Backward compatibility sheet of Define Operating Information window, the Job Execution Control directly starts the script file. Therefore, the file name you have specified in Command Name of the General sheet in the Monitor-Job window is set as shell variable $0 as it is.
