In some cases message events will fail to be received by a job net.
Message events will fail to be received by a job net if any of the following conditions applies. The following conditions that determine whether a job net can receive message events apply on a first-match basis in the order listed.
When the job net is a master information or operation change information job net.
When the job net is disabled.
When Validate job net confirmation is selected and the job net has abended but not yet been confirmed. Note, however, that the message events will be received if the job net is contained in a group.
When Validate job net confirmation and Check canceled are selected and the job net has been canceled but not yet been confirmed. Note, however, that the message event will be received if the job net is contained in a group.
When the Once in a day check box is selected in the Start only when message event has occurred option in the Standard information sheet of the Job Net Properties window and execution has already been confirmed on the day concerned.
When the status of a job net is "Executing", "End delayed" or "Warning". Note, however, that message events will be received if Valid during job net execution is selected.
When the Valid only on startup days check box is selected in the Message sheet of the Job Net Properties window and the day concerned is not a startup day.
When the "@.VPARAM@" variable is used in the job definition and the status of the job net is "Executing", "End delayed", "Warning", or "Paused". Message events will not be received even if Valid during job net execution is selected.
The Job List window can be used to check if a job net is receiving message events during operation. Refer to "6.1 Monitoring Job Nets" for details.
