Startup with variable parameters allows a job net to be started by dynamically specifying variable parameters. It can be used when an operator wants to start a job net with variable parameters specified, or when an operator wants to specify variable parameters manually during operations such as recovery from an error.
Note that startup with variable parameters cannot be used when the connection destination server is running Systemwalker Operation Manager V13.2.0 or earlier.
Procedure
To pass a variable parameter to a job, it is necessary to specify the variable "@.VPARAM@" in the job definition, just as in the case when startup with variable parameters is initiated by a message event. The following procedure can be used to replace the variable "@.VPARAM@" with the specified variable parameter. Refer to "4.3.13.1 Using variable parameters to start a job net" for information about the "@.VPARAM@" variable.
Select the target job net.
Select the target job net in the Systemwalker Operation Manager window, the Job Net Management window or the Job Nets Management window.
Display the Set Variable Parameters window.
Use one of the following methods to display the Set Variable Parameters window:
Select Start with variable parameters from Schedule Operation or Operation in the File menu.
Right-click and select Operation and then Start with variable parameters from the pop-up menu.
Click the Start with variable parameters button in the toolbar.
Specify the variable parameters.
Specify the variable parameters in the Set Variable Parameters window and click the OK button.
