When a job is completed in either normal or pseudo-normal mode, the completion code from this job is used to start succeeding jobs. When a startup job is assigned the range of code completion that will be the execution condition is specified on the succeeding job.
More than one job can be specified to start up after a preceding job, but these succeeding jobs can recognize only one preceding job. If several jobs are specified to start up after the preceding job, then once the preceding job is completed in either normal or pseudo-normal mode, all the succeeding jobs that meet the condition started up using the completion code of the preceding job. If there is no applicable job, then no job starts up.
In the New/Change/Recovery Change Job Net window, the blue (arrow) line connects to the preceding job and indicates the job in which the condition for the completion code of the preceding job is specified.
In the Monitor Job Net window, the blue (arrow) line connects to the preceding job and indicates the job in which the condition for the completion code of the preceding job is specified. Jobs that are not started up are indicated by a gray connection line (arrow), a light colored icon framed by a dotted circle.
Jobs that do not start because they do not meet the above conditions are in passed status. The job net ends normally when other jobs not in passed status have been completed properly, even if some jobs remain in passed status.
The job net configuration in the figure below describes a job flow when the completion code of a job is assigned to succeeding jobs.
The figure shows that after Job A starts up normally with completion code 10, Job B, (which has a startup value of less than 10) starts up. Job C falls into "pass" status since it does not meet the execution conditions. Job E, which is waiting for Job C to start up automatically falls into "pass" status and job F only waits for Job D to complete start up before it starts up.
Once Job B has finished starting up, Job D starts up.
Once Job D has finished starting up, Job F starts up.
Once Job F has finished starting up with completion code 5, Jobs G and H fall into "pass" status because they do not meet the requirements to start up. Job I also falls into pass status since all the preceding jobs are in pass status. After Job F has finished starting up, the job net finishes normally even if some jobs are still in pass status.
