1.2.2 Shutting Down the Systemwalker Operation Manager Servers [Windows version]

When you carry out the shutdown procedures, all of the services for various Systemwalker Operation Manager functions are automatically stopped and the Systemwalker Operation Manager server terminates its operations.

How to shut down manually

If you need to manually shut down a Systemwalker Operation Manager server for some reasons such as maintenance work, terminate the services using the Services dialog box of the Control Panel in the following order.

Display name of service

Function corresponding to each service

Systemwalker MpPmonO

Process Monitoring

Systemwalker MpJobsch

Jobscheduler

Systemwalker MpJmCal

Calendar

Systemwalker MpMjes

Job Execution Control

Systemwalker MpNjsosv

Task Link

Systemwalker MpJmSrv

Systemwalker Operation Manager Base

Systemwalker MpAosfB

Auto-Operation Support (Event Monitoring, Action Management)

Systemwalker MpAosfX

Auto-Operation Support (Action Execution)

Systemwalker MpAosfP

Power Control (Power Control, Service/Application Startup)

Systemwalker ACL Manager

ACL Manager

These services can be terminated in a batch with the poperationmgr (service termination) command. For details on the poperationmgr command, see the "Shared Commands" section of the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.

Note

To terminate the Systemwalker Operation Manager Auto Operation Support and ACL manager services in an environment with Systemwalker Centric Manager is used together, terminate all the Systemwalker Centric Manager services as well. For the service termination commands for Systemwalker Centric Manager, see the Systemwalker Centric Manager Reference Guide.

If a job net with the Interstage attribute is being executed, do not terminate the Jobscheduler service without terminating that job net. Be sure to cancel the job net before terminating the Jobscheduler service.

Enterprise EditionHow to shut down multiple subsystems manually

With Systemwalker Operation Manager Enterprise Edition version, multiple subsystems can be started up. To manually shut down subsystems with corresponding subsystem numbers, follow the example below.

Example 1: To shut down subsystem 1

Shut down the following Systemwalker Operation Manager services from the Services dialog box of the Control Panel.

  • Systemwalker MpJobsch1

  • Systemwalker MpMjes1

    Note)

    • Make sure the Systemwalker MpMjes1 is shut down immediately after the Systemwalker MpJobsch1 is shut down.

    • For MpMjes and MpJobsch, shut down the service with the same subsystem number.
