2.13 Definitions when Linking with ServerView Operations Manager to Perform Single Sign-On

If using a cloud environment with ServerView Resource Orchestrator installed, link to ServerView Operations Manager to facilitate Web Console single sign-on between ServerView Resource Orchestrator and Systemwalker Operation Manager.

Before linking to ServerView Operations Manager to perform Single Sign-On, first ensure that ServerView Operations Manager has been used to build a Single Sign-On environment in ServerView Resource Orchestrator. If this environment has not yet been built, refer to the relevant product manual and build the Single Sign-On environment.

The procedure to configure settings on Systemwalker Operation Manager, after ServerView Resource Orchestrator has been configured, is described below.

Setup procedure

(1) Create a user with the same name as in ServerView Resource Orchestrator

(2) Configure linkage with Systemwalker Operation Manager

(1) Create a user with the same name as in ServerView Resource Orchestrator

Create a user with the same name as the ServerView Resource Orchestrator user on the Systemwalker Operation Manager server. If a user with the same name as the ServerView Resource Orchestrator user already exists on the Systemwalker Operation Manager server, take corrective action by changing the name of the existing user.

Assign the same access privileges to the user with the same name as in ServerView Resource Orchestrator.

If using Active Directory to manage OS users, do not use a domain user with the same name as a user that already exists on the computer where Systemwalker Operation Manager will be installed.

(2) Configure linkage with Systemwalker Operation Manager

Execute the mpsetssoinfoo (ServerView Operations Manager Single Sign-On linkage settings) command with the "SET SVSSO" option specified on the Systemwalker Operation Manager server.

Refer to the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide for information on the mpsetssoinfoo command.

After settings are configured, execute the poperationmgr and soperationmgr commands to restart the Systemwalker Operation Manager service/daemon.

Note

If an error message (*1) is displayed in the browser and you cannot establish a connection even when connected to the Web Console after linkage settings have been configured, check if there is an error in the ServerView Operations Manager FQDN or the authentication URL port number that was specified in the linkage settings. If an error exists, reconfigure the linkage settings by specifying the correct FQDN and port number.

*1: An error message such as shown below is displayed (the message may vary depending on the environment).

This page cannot be displayed in Internet Explorer.
