A.1.1 For Windows Version

This section explains how to collect maintenance information for Windows version.

How to collect maintenance information

The following describes the procedure for operating Maintenance Information Collection Tool:

  1. In case of environments other than Server Core environment, select Start or Apps >> Systemwalker Operation Manager >> Collect Maintenance Information.

    In Server Core environments, execute the following command from the command prompt:

    [Executing the command in an installation environment]

    <Systemwalker Operation Manager Installation Directory>\mpwalker.jm\mpcmtool\swcolinf\swcolinf.exe

    [Executing the command from the product media]

    [Windows x86]

    <drive>\MAIN\tool\swcolinf\swcolinf.exe

    [Windows x64]

    <drive>\Client\tool\swcolinf\swcolinf.exe

    [UNIX (client)]

    <drive>\Client\tool\swcolinf\swcolinf.exe

    Refer to "swcolinf Maintenance Information Collection Command" in the Systemwalker Operation Guide Reference Guide for details on the command.

    The Maintenance Information Collection dialog box is displayed.

  2. Specify the following items, and then click the Execute button.

    • Product: Select "Systemwalker Operation Manager".

    • Storage location of information: Specify the location where collected information is saved.

    • Comment: Enter a comment about collected information if necessary.

    A dialog box to confirm whether you want to execute the command is displayed.

    Point

    To select functions for which maintenance information is collected:

    To select a function for which you want to collect data, click the Select Function button in the Maintenance Information Collection dialog box. In the Maintenance Information Collection - Select Function dialog box, select the function.

    Nevertheless, it is recommended to collect the data of all functions in order to determine the cause accurately.

  3. Click the OK button.

    The Maintenance Information Collection - Execution message box is displayed.

    The Maintenance Information Collection - Result message box is displayed when the data collection is completed.

  4. Check the contents, and then click the OK button.

Point

  • Use the following calculation as a reference to collect maintenance information.

    • CPU: Inter(R) Pentium(R)III 600MHz

    • Memory: 512 MB

    • Time spent: 6 min. 15 sec.
