2.7 Messages Starting with mpipcmgr

This section explains about messages starting with mpipcmgr. These messages are error messages output by IPC Resource Management.

[UNIX]mpipcmgr: WARNING: 00304: Systemwalker Operation Manager cannot manage IPC resources.

[Description]

The IPC Resource Management function of Systemwalker Operation Manager did not start due to a system error. Some IPC resources obtained by Systemwalker Operation Manager will not be managed, or displayed by the IPC resource status display command (mpipcso). This does not affect on Systemwalker Operation Manager.

[System Administrator Response]

Restart Systemwalker Operation Manager to start the IPC Resource Management function of Systemwalker Operation Manager.

[UNIX]mpipcmgr: WARNING: 00305: When stopping, Systemwalker Operation Manager could not remove some IPC resources.

[Description]

Failed to remove some IPC resources obtained by Systemwalker Operation Manager while terminating Systemwalker Operation Manager. This does not affect on Systemwalker Operation Manager; however, unnecessary IPC resources will remain on the system.

[System Administrator Response]

Check the remaining IPC resources by executing the IPC resource status display command (mpipcso). Remove the remaining IPC resources by executing a system command (ipcrm).

[UNIX]mpipcmgr: WARNING: 00306: Systemwalker Operation Manager could not remove the following IPC resource.(TYPE=%1, ID=%2, KEY=%3)

[Description]

Previously, Systemwalker Operation Manager exited abnormally and some IPC resources obtained by Systemwalker Operation Manager remain unremoved. This does not affect on Systemwalker Operation Manager; however, unnecessary IPC resources will remain on the system.

  • s (Semaphore)

  • m (Shared memory)

[System Administrator Response]

Check the remaining IPC resources by executing the IPC resource status display command (mpipcso). Remove the remaining IPC resources by executing a system command (ipcrm).

[UNIX]mpipcmgr: WARNING: 00307: Systemwalker cannot manage IPC resources.

[Description]

Some components of the IPC Resource Management function of Systemwalker did not start due to a system error. Some IPC resources obtained by Systemwalker will not be managed and will not be displayed even if you execute the IPC resource status display command (mpipcso). This does not affect Systemwalker.

[System Administrator Response]

To start the IPC Resource Management function of Systemwalker, stop both Systemwalker Centric Manager and Systemwalker Operation Manager first, and restart them. If only one of them is installed on the system, restart the one installed.
