5.4.17 A Network Job from a Windows Server to a UNIX Server is Executed with Administrator Rights by a General User who is the Owner

Applicable versions and levels

• Windows versions: V5.0L10 or later

• Solaris versions: 5.0 or later

• Linux versions: 5.2, V10.0L10 or later

• Linux for Itanium versions: V12.0L10 or later

• HP-UX versions: 5.1 or later

• AIX versions: 5.1 or later

• DS versions: V20L10

Action

Cause

If the following conditions are met, the job is executed on the UNIX server with administrator rights (root):

• The job from the Windows server to the UNIX server is a network job

• The project owner (effective user of the job) belongs to the Administrators group on the Windows server

Action method

Take one of the following action methods:

• Remove the project owner (effective user of the job) from the Administrators group

• Create a new user who does not belong to the Administrators group, and make this user the project owner (effective user of the job)
