8.4.2 How to Continue Business Operations when Problems Occur with Execution Servers (Execution Server Redundancy for Network Jobs)

To continue business operations even if the execution server for network jobs becomes unusable due to problems, such as system failure or communication disruptions, consider adopting redundancy for execution servers.

Redundancy for execution servers is a mechanism where the first and second candidate execution servers are defined in advance, enabling job execution requests to be automatically sent to the second candidate execution server when problems occur.

The execution server definitions can be created for each job net or each job.

Refer to "Duplicating the Network Job Execution Server" in the Systemwalker Operation Manager User Guide for details on the definition procedure.
