To create job nets that can be registered as shared child job nets in more than one parent job net, use linked job nets.
A linked job net can be registered as a job in multiple job nets. The job net that provides the definition information for linked job nets is the master linked job net. Linked job nets are registered as a copy of their master linked job net, and refer to the definition information in that master linked job net.
Linked job nets can be used in the following ways:
More than one linked job net can be registered in a single parent job net.
The startup days can be specified for linked job nets. By setting up the startup days, the configuration of a job net can be changed for different operating days.
Notes on using linked job nets
Register master linked job nets and their linked job nets in the same project.
Linked job nets can be combined using layering based on child job nets. Even if linked job nets are combined into layers, there can only be up to five layers.
The master linked job net that a linked job net refers to can also be layered without any issues. However, it is not possible to register a linked job net within another linked job net.
A linked job net is counted as a single job in the job net where it has been registered. Up to 255 jobs can be registered in a job net, with each linked job net being counted as one job.
Every time a linked job net is registered, the number of job nets in the project increases (linked job net, in addition to any child job nets that the linked job net may have). This may cause the schedule performance to deteriorate. Design the job net configuration, taking the number of job nets into consideration.
Several conditions must be met to use a job net as the master linked job net. Refer to "Registering Linked Job Nets and Master Linked Job Nets" in the Systemwalker Operation Manager User Guide for details.
