3.4 Configuring the PL/extJava Environment

To configure the PL/extJava environment, refer to "Setting up and Operating PL/extJava" in the Operation Guide for details. Also, note the following points:

Location in which the PL/extJava resources are placed

Place the domain root and the PL/extJava backup data storage destination directory on a shared disk.

Environment configuration

Build the PL/extJava environment on each node comprising the cluster system.

Use the following procedure to build the PL/extJava environment:

  1. Stop both nodes in maintenance state (on the active node, change the shared disk to online status).

  2. Configure the PL/extJava environment on the active node.

  3. Start the cluster service on the standby node.

  4. Stop the cluster service on the active node.

  5. Configure the PL/extJava on the standby node.

  6. Start the cluster service on the active node.

  7. Stop the cluster service on the standby node.

  8. Cancel stoppage of both nodes for maintenance.

Note

If you execute the pgx_jadmin command on the standby node, specify the --cluster-standbynode option.
Please note that the list-domain, list-container, and list-jvm-options subcommands are excluded.

See

Refer to "5.4.1 Simultaneous Stopped Node Maintenance" for information on how to stop both nodes for maintenance and start/stop the cluster service.
