In NAS operation environment, inter-box backup/restore using REC function of the ETERNUS Disk storage system and functions provided by AdvancedCopy Manager allows for data recovery at the time of the malfunction and data use in the stand-by side.
Device usage for REC in this function is as follows:
Use as a device exclusively for backup
Save the secondary backup data to the backup volume using REC.
Use as a device in the stand-by side for succeeding NAS operation
Restore the data saved on the NAS backup volume for REC to continue NAS operation.
