When replacing an entire ETERNUS LT250/LT270, use the following the procedure provided below to resetting the access path.
Integrating the configuration information
Ensure that the configuration definition of the new tape library matches that of the replaced tape library.
For the new tape library assign a different IP address from that of the replaced tape library.
Registering the new tape library to this product
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Storage pane, click Tape Library.
On the Action pane, click Discover under Tape Library.
Register the new tape library.
On the tape library overview screen, check that the new tape library is displayed.
Deleting zoning
On the global navigation tab, click Network.
On the Main pane, check the switch name.
On the Category pane, click Zoning.
On the Main pane, select the checkbox of the WWPN zoning of the replaced tape library.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Zoning.
Delete zoning.
On the zoning overview screen, check that the WWPN zoning of the replaced tape library has been deleted.
Note
If you are not using "one to one" zoning, ensure that other security settings are not affected.
Adding an access path
On the global navigation tab, click Server.
On the Server pane, click Access Path.
On the Action pane, click Add (Other) under Access Path.
Register the access path. For access path definition, select the following:
Port: Port assigned to the new tape library
HBA: HBA logical connection to the replaced tape library
On the zoning overview screen, check that the WWPN zoning of the new tape library has been created.
Deleting the replaced tape library from this product
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Storage pane, click Tape Library.
On the Main pane, select the replaced tape library checkbox.
On the Action pane, click Delete under Tape Library.
Delete the replaced tape library.
On the tape library overview screen, check that the replaced tape library has been deleted.
Subsequent operation
The server node must be restarted for server nodes that do not support hot swapping configuration changes after creation of the access path is complete.
On the server nodes that support hot swapping configuration changes, it is necessary to execute commands to perform the hot swapping configuration changes for OS and HBA drivers. For example, when the HBA driver is FUJITSU PCI Fibre Channel, chgfcctl or clchgfc must be executed.
