8.3.4 Backup

Perform online backup of Exchange Server database. For backup, use one of active database copy or passive database copy.
For details about database backup, refer to "8.2.4 Backup".

Execution Example 1

Perform backup of DB1 (active) on EX1.

C:\Win32app\AdvancedCopyManager\bin\swsrpvssbackup_exchange -dbname DB1

Display the status of the shadow copy of DB1 on EX1 and confirm that the backup has been properly performed.

C:\Win32app\AdvancedCopyManager\bin\swsrpshadowadm_exchange status -dbname DB1

Execution Example 2

Perform backup of DB2 (passive) on EX1.

C:\Win32app\AdvancedCopyManager\bin\swsrpvssbackup_exchange -dbname DB2

Display the status of the shadow copy of DB2 on EX1 and confirm that the backup has been properly performed.
