4.2.6 Changing Operation

4.2.6.1 Changing Database Information

• When adding database space to a log group:
  Take the following procedure:

  1. Add database space to a log group.

  2. To reflect changes in a log group configuration to the management directory of AdvancedCopy Manager, refer to "4.2.4.4 Collecting Device Information under Managed Server" to change device information.

  3. Re-register Symfoware database information by the swsrpdbinfo_symfoware command to reflect the changed contents.

  4. Add volumes to the replication group by the swsrpsetvol command.

• When deleting database space from a log group:
  Take the following procedure:

  1. Delete database space from a log group.

  2. Delete the backup history of the database space deleted by the swsrphistory_symfoware command.

  3. Delete the volumes from the replication group by the swsrpdelvol command.

  4. To reflect changes in the log group configuration to the management directory of AdvancedCopy Manager, refer to "4.2.4.4 Collecting Device Information under Managed Server" to change device information.

  5. Re-register Symfoware database information by the swsrpdbinfo_symfoware command to reflect the changed contents.
