Interstage Studio Client Runtime V11.1 Installation Guide
FUJITSU Software

Appendix B Deleting an Installed Environment

Reinstallation or uninstallation of Interstage Studio Client Runtime may fail because of unexpected errors that occur during installation or uninstallation.
In such cases, the original environment can be restored when the procedures described below are used to delete all related resources from the hard disk. If any related products are installed on the same system, uninstall the products before starting the procedures.

Note

  • The procedure should be done using the administrator account or the account that belongs to the administrator group of the computer.

  • Depending on whether or not a function is installed, the described registry keys, folders, and environment variables may not exist. In this case, ignore these and continue work.

  • The explanations below include information related to editing registries. Before editing registries, it is essential to understand recovery methods in case problems occur. Refer to "Restore the Registry" in the Help menu of the registry editor (regedit.exe) for recovery method details.
Registries are extremely important files in a Windows system. If operation fails, Windows may not start. It is therefore important to perform the associated tasks very carefully.

In the example explained here, "C:\Interstage" is used as the product installation destination, and the product is installed in a 32-bit OS. To install the product in a 64-bit OS, substitute as shown in the table below when reading the explanations.
