3.2 Creating Switchover Information Folders

Create the switchover information folders in the admin servers of the primary and backup sites. In the LUNs for switchover information folders, create the folders in the following configurations:

Folder containing switchover information
Folder which contains switchover information\Image         - Folder to contain physical server image files
Folder which contains switchover information\ManagerExport  - Output directory of the rcxmgrexport command
Folder which contains switchover information\MAP       - Folder to contain the mapping file of physical server names or VM management software name
Folder which contains switchover information\OtherBackupFiles - Folder to contain definition files and user scripts
Folder which contains switchover information\vmmgr_file.txt   - Definition files of VM management software [physical/virtual L-Server switchover (VM host/or VM guest)]
Folder which contains switchover information\vm_pool.csv      - VM pool definition files [virtual L-Server switchover (VM guest)]

Create the switchover information folders on the SAN connection or the iSCSI connection LUN, and make the folders targets of replication.

The information stored in each folder within the switchover information folder is as below.

Folders which contain switchover information
Parent folder. The following folders must be created. Any folder name can be used.
Folder which contains switchover information\Image
Stores physical server images. Create the folder when migrating physical server images.
Folder which contains switchover information\ManagerExport
Folders to store the configuration information of the Resource Orchestrator manager. The following folders must be created.
Folder which contains switchover information\MAP
Folders to store the mapping information of physical server names. Create the folder, when the physical server or VM management software names are different between sites.
Folder which contains switchover information\OtherBackupFiles
Store files other than those described above. The following folders must be created.
