H.4 Automatic Network Configuration

When using Ethernet Fabrics, the port profile migration function (hereinafter AMPP) can be used on virtual L-Servers. Resource Orchestrator supports VLAN as a parameter of AMPP. AMPP works with virtual L-Server migration and automatically migrates the port settings of the Ethernet fabric switch to the physical port of the Ethernet fabric switch adjacent to the migration target server.

When creating a network resource, a VLAN port profile is created for the Ethernet fabric with port profile configuration enabled.

The VLAN port profiles are created for the specified virtual fabrics (VFAB), if the VFAB are linked with the tenants when registering network devices. When linking is not performed, the profile is created for the default VFAB.

When creating a virtual L-Server, the NIC of the virtual L-Server is linked with the VLAN port profile. This configures a VLAN for the server connection port of the Ethernet fabric when the virtual L-Server on the migration target server performs communications.
