Chapter 20 Other Messages

This chapter describes messages which are output by Storage Cruiser's manager.
Product identifier (SSC) and the severity are added to the head of the message form output to the log file as follows:

SSC : Severity : Message number : Message text

In the Severity, one of the following is displayed by the event:

A1001: Could not establish connection with SNMP Trap daemon/service

ERROR

Explanation

It was not possible to connect it with the SNMP Trap monitor daemon.

System administrator response

Please confirm whether the SNMP Trap monitoring daemon is starting normally by executing the following command:

# /bin/ps -ef| grep snmp | grep trapd

Please restart when the SNMP Trap monitoring daemon has stopped.
Please restart the Storage Cruiser's manager daemon when the situation is not improved.

A1002: Could not execute REMCS script

Severity

ERROR

Explanation

An attempt to start REMCS linkage script failed because of an input-output error.

System administrator response

Make sure that the memory and system resources of the file descriptors are sufficient.
If too many files are open for an application that activates many processes, this error may occur. In such cases, decrease the number of the executed processes, or expand the system resources.

B1001: Manager process abnormal end.

Explanation

The Manager process ends abnormally.

System administrator response

Collect the information required for troubleshooting as described in the following manual and contact a Fujitsu system engineer.
