12.8 Hyper-V Commands

This section explains commands for backing up and restoring Hyper-V Guest OSes.

Operating environment for command execution

The table below lists the requirements for the operating environment in which to execute the different commands.

swsrpvrq component add	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating.
swsrpvrq component remove	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating.
swsrpvrq shadow backup-hyperv	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating. Also, the services of a backup server must be operating.
swsrpvrq shadow restore-hyperv	The services of a backup server must be operating.
swsrpvrq shadow query	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating. To execute this command with the -cs option specified, the services of a backup server must be operating.
swsrpvrq shadow delete	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating. To execute this command with the -cs option specified, the services of a backup server must be operating.
swsrpvrq advcopy query	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating.
swsrpvrq advcopy stop	To execute this command on a backup server with the -h option specified, the services of the target Managed Server must be operating.

Note

In cluster operation

In this function, it is unnecessary to specify the environment variable SWSTGNODE. Perform the Hyper-V commands without specifying the environment variable SWSTGNODE.
