6.1.4 Tasks to be performed after the upgrade

When the AdvancedCopy Manager's manager upgrade has been completed, the tasks below need to be performed.


6.1.4.1 Restoring the environment from the previous version

Restore the backup of the operational environment of AdvancedCopy Manager's manager for the previous version.

AdvancedCopy Manager operational environment

Restore the operational environment that was backed up in "6.1.1.1 Backing up the operational environment of the previous version".

Note

For the operational environment restore, start a new window for command execution, and then perform the procedure on the window.

AdvancedCopy Manager Copy Control Module operational environment

Restore the operational environment that was backed up in "6.1.1.1 Backing up the operational environment of the previous version".

License information

When AdvancedCopy Manager and/or AdvancedCopy Manager Copy Control Module are installed, restore the definition of the license information.

Restore the license management database of ETERNUS SF License Manager by executing the esflm restore command. Refer to the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for this version for information on the command.

Example of executing the command is shown below. The backupFileName is the file name specified when the backup data was created.

> esflm restore backupFileName
Restoration of license database was performed successfully

6.1.4.2 Importing the configuration information

Import the configuration information from the previous version by executing the esfimportdevconf command using Administrator permissions.
For the upgrade from ETERNUS SF Manager Version 15.0B, this step is not necessary.

Check that the targeted devices can be accessed before executing the esfimportdevconf command.

After executing the esfimportdevconf command, confirm that "Complete" is displayed in IMPORT STATUS column in the esfimportdisplay command of the configuration information import.

6.1.4.3 Setting up a user account

Set up a user account in order to use the ETERNUS SF Manager functions.

6.1.4.4 Setting up the Web Console

If firewalls are used between the PC on which the Web Console is launched and the Management Server, perform firewall settings to allow transmission.

6.1.4.5 Registering the license

Register the appropriate licenses.

6.1.4.6 Redefining missing information

6.1.4.7 Changing the access user password for repository database

Do not use the access user default password for the repository database in order to avoid security issues.

Change the user information of the operating system and reconfigure the repository access user information by executing the stguserset command.
