2.3.3 Required resources for installation

This section describes the resources that are required for installing Storage Cruiser's agent.

2.3.3.1 Required disk space for installation

For installation of Storage Cruiser's agent on a server, the required free disk space on that server is as follows:

For Windows environment

Directory name	Required disk space (Unit: MB)	Explanation
Program Directory	100	"Program Directory" as specified during installation. Default is "C:\ETERNUS_SF".
Environment Directory	1	"Environment Directory" as specified during installation. Default is "C:\ETERNUS_SF".
Work Directory	1	"Work Directory" as specified during installation. Default is "C:\ETERNUS_SF".

For Solaris environment

Directory name	Required disk space (Unit: MB)	Explanation
program install directory	100	Directory into which to install the package. Default is "/opt".
fixed configuration directory	3	Directory into which to install the files for the environment settings. Default is "/etc/opt".
variable configuration directory	240	Directory into which to install variable files (log files, temporary files, etc.) Default is "/var/opt".

For Linux environment

Directory name	Required disk space (Unit: MB)	Explanation
/opt	101	Directory into which to install the package
/etc/opt	1	Directory into which to install the files for the environment settings
/var/opt	205	Directory into which to install variable files (log files, temporary files, etc.)

For HP-UX environment

• For HP-UX 11.0 or HP-UX 11i

  Directory name	Required disk space (Unit: MB)	Explanation
  /opt	130	Directory into which to install the package
  /etc/opt	0.2	Directory into which to install the files for the environment settings
  /var/opt	0.2	Directory into which to install variable files (log files, temporary files, etc.)

• For HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3

  /opt	150	Directory into which to install the package
  /etc/opt	0.02	Directory into which to install the files for the environment settings
  /var/opt	0.02	Directory into which to install variable files (log files, temporary files, etc.)

For VMware environment
