AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is a backup tool that uses the Advanced Copy function of ETERNUS Disk storage system without installing an AdvancedCopy Manager's agent on the server that is backed up (hereafter called the "backup source server").
Using AdvancedCopy Manager CCM has the following advantages:
There is no need to install an AdvancedCopy Manager's agent on the server that is backed up.
Backups can be performed independently of the operating system of the server that is backed up.
Operational work becomes more efficient, because there is no need to spend time installing AdvancedCopy Manager's agents on each of the servers to be backed up.
In the following figure, "Backup source server" indicates the business server, and "CCM Server" indicates the backup execution server.
