6.1 Control by monitoring functions

Web Console operations are controlled by the following monitoring functions.

Session timeout monitoring

This function monitors the Web Console operations and discards the sessions not operated for a long time.

Web Console operation is the connection, including automatic updating of Web Console screen, to a Management Server from the Web Console.

When an operation runs beyond the term of monitoring interval from previous operation, it is rejected because of session timeout. The default monitoring interval is 60 minutes.

See

Refer to "4.22.4 Change the value for session timeout" for changing monitoring interval.

Session connection number monitoring

This function monitors the number of connecting sessions at the same time. If the number of connecting sessions exceeds the upper limits, 100 sessions, you fail to log on.

Maximum operation number monitoring

This function monitors the number of operations.

If the number of operations exceeds either the following limit, the monitoring function rejects the operation.

Point

For the number of operations:

Processing requests from the Web Console are executed asynchronously after storing in the Management Server.
The number of operations indicates the total number of waiting and executing requests.
