4.8.5 Disable the encryption mode

To disable the encryption mode of ETERNUS Disk storage system, it is necessary to delete all encrypted volumes.
The procedure to disable the encryption mode of ETERNUS Disk storage system is as follows:

  1. Delete all encrypted volumes, refer to "4.9.3 Delete the volume".

  2. On the global navigation tab, click [Storage].
    The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.

  3. On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  4. On the Category pane, click [System].

  5. On the System pane, click [Encryption].

  6. On the Action pane, click [Disable] under [Encryption Mode].

Note

  • Encryption mode can be changed only in the following ETERNUS Disk storage systems:

    • ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2

    • ETERNUS DX400 S2 series

    • ETERNUS DX8000 S2 series

  • If the encryption mode is changed to "disable", it is necessary to restart the ETERNUS Disk storage system.
