8.2 Adding, Changing and Deleting Users

This section describes how to add, change and delete users when user authentication is performed using LDAP.

Add and remove users according to their LDAP types.

Adding users

To add a new user, follow the steps below:

  1. Add the user to the LDAP directory.

Refer to "Registering user in Directory Service" in the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Operation Guide for details.

  2. Assign the user to groups.

Refer to "Registering Local Group and Adding User" in the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Operation Guide for details.

Note

  • If the users and groups in the organization are already managed by using the LDAP directory as a directory service, Systemwalker Runbook Automation can use the existing directory structure. In this case, specify the LDAP users as IflowUsers and Role users.

  • It may take up to 90 minutes for the registration results to be reflected in the LDAP directory. To reflect the registration results immediately, restart Systemwalker Runbook Automation.

Changing user passwords

To change a user's password, change the password for the user that has been registered with each LDAP directory. The procedure depends on the type of the LDAP being used (refer to the manual for the LDAP directory used).

Deleting users

  1. Check whether all tickets for the user can be deleted.

  2. Delete the user from Systemwalker Runbook Automation.
