4.1.1 Starting Systemwalker Runbook Automation

This section describes how to start Systemwalker Runbook Automation.

[Windows]

  1. Log in to the Management Server as a user with Administrator privileges.

  2. Start Systemwalker Runbook Automation, by using either of the methods below:

    Method 1: Via the command line:

    <Installation directory for the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server>\bin\swrba_start

    Method 2: Via the Start menu:

    Select Programs, Systemwalker Runbook Automation and then Starting Management Server from the Start menu.

    Note

    If the operating system being used is Windows Server 2008 or later, execute the command above as an administrator.

  3. The message below will be displayed:

    If the command line was used:

    Systemwalker Runbook Automation is starting up.
    The Process Management Database has started.
    The server function has started.
    The console function has started.
    CMDB Manager has started.
    The Scheduling has started.
    Systemwalker Runbook Automation startup has completed successfully.

    If the Start menu was used:

    Press any key to continue.

[Linux]

  1. Log in to the Management Server as a superuser.

  2. Start Systemwalker Runbook Automation:

    # /opt/FJSVswrbam/bin/swrba_start

    This will start the daemon for each Systemwalker Runbook Automation function .

  3. The message below will be displayed:

    Systemwalker Runbook Automation is starting up
    The Process Management Database has started.
    The server function has started.
    The console function has started.
    CMDB Manager has started.
    The Scheduling has started.
    Systemwalker Runbook Automation startup has completed successfully
