2.1.4 Installing required software

Install required software depend on system construct and using Operation Component.

Management Server

Linux

Install the following software which attached operating system.

Install them referring to operating system manuals.

• redhat-lsb packages

• Elfutils package

  Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 or earlier

  elfutils-libelf-0.125-3.el5.i386.rpm (*1)

  Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 or later

Using operation components developed using Perl

Install the following software.

• strawberry perl 5.12.0

  Specify any directory as install directory.

  After installing, it must be set up information of install path to operation component execution setup file. Also if you use library for Perl which Systemwalker Runbook Automation is provided, it is necessary to install the following module.

  • XML::Simple 2.18

  • XML::Parser 2.40

  Note

  In library which Systemwalker Runbook Automation is provided, only "Input information library" can use in Operation component developed by Perl script. Install Perl library and Perl module to Management Server as necessary.

Building an environment using LDAP authentication

Install one of the following directory services.

• OpenLDAP

• Active Directory

• Interstage Directory Service

However, Interstage Directory Service is installed with installing Systemwalker Runbook Automation.

You do not need to install Interstage Directory Service again.

Linked Server/Relay Server/Business Server

Linux

Install the software shown below, which is provided with the operating system (refer to the operating system manual before installing it).

• redhat-lsb packages

On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (for Intel64) environments, install the 32-bit version of the following software provided with the operating system. Refer to the operating system manual for the installation procedure. [Linux]

Using the operation component to direct the operation to each server

• The software below is required to perform SSH communications between the Management Server and the Linked Server, Relay Server and Business Server.

    Install OpenSSH (cygwin OpenSSH V1.7 or later) in environments in which SSH has not been installed yet.

  [Linux] [Solaris]

  • SSH V2.0 or later

    In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0 or later and Solaris 10 or later, SSH is already installed as a standard feature. Install OpenSSH in environments in which SSH has not been installed yet.

• The software below is required to perform Windows PowerShell communications between the Management Server and the Linked Server, Relay Server and Business Server.

    Install in environments in which it has not been installed yet.

• The software below is required to perform Telnet communications between the Management Server and the Linked Server, Relay Server and Business Server.

    Install the Telnet Server Service in environments in which it has not been installed yet.

• The software types shown below are required to perform RSH/REXEC communications between the Management Server and the Linked Server, Relay Server, and Business Server.

    Install Subsystem for UNIX-based Application(SUA) in environments in which it has not been installed yet.

    Install rsh-server in environments in which it has not been installed yet.

    The rexec service is already installed as a standard operating system feature.

• The software below is required to perform FTP communications between the Management Server and the Linked Server, Relay Server and Business Server.
