Systemwalker Runbook Automation supports the template management function for virtual systems provided by Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.
When servers need to be added because business has expanded or more servers are needed for the development environment, they can be quickly created by using server environment templates for Systemwalker Runbook Automation that have been created in advance.
For details on how to create and operate templates, refer to the Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager manuals.
Note that templates cannot be created for the Management Server.
Creating templates for the Relay Server
New Relay Servers can be created quickly when required.
When Relay Servers are created from templates, the following parameters can be changed. By changing these parameters, new Relay Servers can be created for any Management Server even in environments with multiple Management Servers.
Host name or IP address of the Management Server
Port number of the Management Server
Creating templates for the Linked Server
New Linked Servers can be created quickly in response to business requirements.
When Linked Servers are created from templates, the following parameters can be changed. By changing these parameters, new Linked Servers can be created for any Management Server even in environments with multiple Management Servers.
Host name or IP address of the Management Server
Port number of the Management Server
Creating templates for the Business Server
Even when new Business Servers need to be added to a business operation, operations can be automated rapidly using a Management Server without having to install Systemwalker Runbook Automation.
Because Business Servers do not hold information about the Management Server, operations can also be automated from the Management Server in the development execution environment.
