This section contains important information relating to the use of Systemwalker Service Quality Coordinator.
System time
Set the system time on all computers in the system to the same time.
Defining the host name
Do not use characters other than ASCII to "host name" set to each computer in system construction.
CPU information collected by the Red Hat virtualization function (Xen)
If a physical CPU is shared by multiple domains under the Red Hat virtualization function (Xen), which can be used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5.0, some of the CPU information collected by each domain may contain larger values than the real values.
The following items are affected:
CPU time and utilization rate (SUM_PROC,UX_CPUBUSY)
Process CPU time (UX_PROCESS)
Point
If a domain has exclusive use of a physical CPU, the correct information will be collected.
Refer to "Data Formats" in the Reference Guide for details on the relevant information.
Note when operating under IPv6 environment
IPv6 environment being managed is supported when the connection being managed between Agent/Proxy Manager/Agent for Agentless Monitoring and Manager is under following conditions.
Agent/Proxy Manager -- Between Managers (Push communication)
Manager - Between Agents for Agentless Monitoring (telnet/ssh/https communication)
Note
When managing Agent/Proxy Manager/Agent for Agentless Monitoring under IPv6 environment, Manager needs to be under IPv4/IPv6 dual stack environment. Also, enable to communicate between Manager and Operation Management Client via IPv4.
Operating Manager under IPv4/IPv6 dual stack environment, refer to "6.13 Operation setting under IPv6 environment" and follow steps.
Point
Under the IPv6 only environment, Systemwalker Service Quality Coordinator is operable only when the Windows versions Manager and the Operation Management Client are installed in the same machine. The Operation Management Client and the Manager communicate via IPv4 by loopback in this case. Specify "127.0.0.1" as the connection destination Manager settings required to the Operation Management Client.
