7.5.2 Changing the IP address of Managed Server

Change the IP address of a Managed Server as follows:

  1. If replication management function was used at the target Managed Server to define it as a copy source or copy destination volume, delete the copy source or copy destination volume settings by referring to "6.6.2 Deleting a source volume or replica volume".

  2. On the target Managed Server, stop the AdvancedCopy Manager daemons. For more information on stopping daemons, refer to "Chapter 2 Starting and Stopping Daemons".

  3. On the target Managed Server, change the system IP address.

  4. On the target Managed Server, restart the AdvancedCopy Manager daemons. For more information on starting a daemons, refer to "Chapter 2 Starting and Stopping Daemons".

  5. On the Management Server, create a server information change instruction file, and then execute stgxfwcmmodsrv (Server information change command) with the -f option specified to change the IP address.

  6. If the replication management function is used, reconstruct the replication management environment (perform the "6.4.5 Configuring the source volume and replica volume" task and subsequent tasks).
