A.2 Installing Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager

Some of the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server features are included in Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager, therefore care is required when the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server is used in the same server as Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.

This section explains the procedure and points to note when the following software and the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server are used in the same server.

Note

  • As a safeguard against errors occurring when the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server is installed, Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager must always be backed up before this procedure is performed.

Order of Installation

The procedure that is used to install the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server in an environment in which Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager have already been installed is explained below.

Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server Installation Procedure

The procedure that is used to install the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server is as follows:

Note

  • When the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server installation procedure has started, do not operate any other products that are installed in the same environment until the installation is complete.

  • An empty directory that can be written to as the working area will be required to install the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server. Additionally, the working area data will be required to re-execute after an error has occurred in the installation. For this reason, do not delete the working area data until the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server installation and behavior confirmation are complete.

  • If the installation cannot be performed, for example because the working area has been corrupted, reinstall Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager then restore the product from the backup.
    Then, perform the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Management Server installation procedure.

  • 600MB of free area is required for the Cloud Infrastructure Management Software/Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager installation destination directory. If there is insufficient area for the installation destination directory, extend the installation destination directory area before installing Systemwalker Runbook Automation. Use the following procedure to extend the installation destination directory area:
    1) Back up the product
    2) Uninstall the product
    3) Extend the installation destination directory area
    4) Install the product
    5) Restore the product
