2.4.3 Installing on Linux Systems

This section describes how to install Systemwalker Runbook Automation on Linux systems.

2.4.3.1 Installing Systemwalker Runbook Automation

This section describes how to install the Agent for Systemwalker Runbook Automation on Linked Servers and Relay Servers.

  1. Log in as a superuser on the system.

  2. Insert the "Systemwalker Runbook Automation Media Pack (15.1.0) Disc No. 2/2" DVD-ROM in the drive.

    If the volume management daemon is not running, then mount the DVD-ROM:

    # mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/mnt <DVD-ROM mount point>
  3. Mount DVD-Rom by following command

    If you start by automatic mount daemon(autofs), installer will be failed because of having "noexec" option.

    # mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/mnt DVD-ROM mount point
  4. Start the installer.

    # <DVD-ROM mount point>/swsetup

    This command installs multiple packages as a batch.

  5. After the welcome text, press Enter key.

  6. At the prompt for the server installation directory, enter " Linked Server/Relay Server ".

    Refer to "2.4.1 Pre-installation Notes" and the architecture of the server where the product will be installed before deciding whether to select the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version.

  7. At the prompt for Linked Servers/Relay Servers installation confirmation, enter "y".

  8. Specify the host name or ip address for the Management Server.

    Enter the host name or ip address for the Management Server.

  9. Specify the port number for the Management Server.

    You can use the default value.

    Enter the port number for the Management Server (Web Server).

  10. Check the installation settings.

    Ensure that the settings are correct, and then enter "y". If a setting must be corrected, then enter its number.

    Work files deployment target (This cannot be changed): /var/opt
