In a VMware environment, servers on which applications operate are consolidated as a guest OS of VMware. NICs of a guest OS are connected to ports on the virtual switch on the VMware host. A guest OS communicate with external devices via this virtual switch. Ports on the virtual switch are managed by VMware as a port group.
GLS operates on a guest OS of VMware. The reliability of the network used by user applications is enabled by bundling the ports on the virtual switch.
